My Platform

We need a hard reset from the last two years of anxiety and chaos. President Trump has done everything in his power to raise prices, take from the needy, reward his wealthy donors, coerce the media, attack your constitutional rights, and start new wars - and the Republican majority in the Michigan House of Representatives has supported him every step of the way. Trump and his admirers are out of touch with what we need.

I believe you and your family deserve better. If re-elected, I will fight for policies that reduce household costs, invest in high-quality education, fix what Trump broke in our society, and restore trust in government.

Reducing Household Costs

You and your family deserve to afford the American Dream.

I support:

Helping young people afford their first home through tax credits and cutting red tape
Taking on DTE and Consumers Energy to reduce utility bills
Taking on insurance company price gouging to reduce healthcare costs
Reducing the cost of child care, nursing home care, and in-home care for elders
Demanding that the refunds from Trump’s illegal tariffs be passed on to Michigan consumers

Investing in High-Quality Education

From pre-k to college, our children deserve the best education possible. I support:

Reducing class sizes so teachers spend more time with each student
Hiring more literacy coaches and special education staff so every student receives the unique support they need
Making the free school meals program permanent for all public K-12 students, which House Republicans have refused to do
Increasing state support for U of M and MSU - not decreasing it, as House Republicans wanted
Enrolling more Michigan families in our free pre-K program
Expanding access to AP and IB classes, dual enrollment, and career and technical programs

Fixing What Trump Broke

Trump has normalized corruption, lawlessness, and open bigotry among government officials. I support:

Strengthening Michigan’s anti-corruption and consumer protection laws
Enacting state protections for workers, the environment, and civil rights that Trump has ended at the federal level
Increasing the Attorney General’s ability to go after fraudsters, scammers, and criminals who tamper with our elections
Keeping ICE agents out of churches, schools, and hospitals, and banning agents from wearing face coverings
Creating responsible AI policies that protect Michigan workers from job loss
Making racial, homophobic, and disability-based slurs unacceptable again
Respecting everyone in our community, no matter their race, religion, or country of origin. It’s the American way!

Restore Trust in Government

The people of Michigan deserve transparency and accountability from their leaders.

I support:

Closing the “revolving door” that tempts legislators to become lobbyists immediately after their time in office
Ending the use of fake “nonprofit organizations” that funnel dark-money donations for politicians' personal expenses
Banning lobbyists from purchasing meals, drinks, and event tickets for legislators
Expanding the Freedom of Information Act to cover the legislature, which the Republican House Speaker has refused to do
